Contact Dermatitis
Contact dermatitis happens when your skin reacts to a substance it has come into contact with, due to either irritation or an allergic response. Symptoms can include redness, itching, rash, swelling, or small blisters at the site of contact. Common triggers include soaps, fragrances, metals, cleaning products, cosmetics, and plants like poison ivy.
If you are experiencing persistent or unexplained skin reactions, our clinic offers patch testing to help identify the specific substances causing your symptoms so you can better avoid them and protect your skin.
